YTT & Therapy Training by Vishwa Yoga : A Journey to the Heart

October 30 - Nov 21 | 23 Days

All information about this YTT, including prices and registration is available on the VISHWA YOGA WEBSITE on this link.

This teacher training has been more profound than I could have ever imagined...
(It) enables and empowers. I have gained skills to feel confident as a yoga teacher but at the same time the heart of this training was much deeper. It opened up space for exploration, surrender, connection, and limitless growth. Perhaps the most important part is that I know this training has no real end, it has only opened a door, leading to another door, leading to another, another, and then another, forever. I will be living this training for the rest of my life.

Basic Information

This training is geared towards 500 level students, but all are welcome.

Those who have not had a 200 level training will not be able to receive a 500 level yoga therapist* certificate, but will receive a 200 level teacher certificate that they can register with Yoga Alliance  .

The Training

Whether you come for the Yoga Teacher Training (RYT 200) or the Yoga Therapy Training (RYT 500) or simply The Yoga Tour, Vishwa Yoga will give you an experiential understanding of Universal (Vishwa) Oneness, the Power of Unity in Diversity, the resolve to help an ailing humanity recognize the need for Universal Brother/Sisterhood and truly act accordingly. There is well beyond what most people are looking for in terms of Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Philosophy, etc., but with a Mystics enthusiasm, Gandhian heart, Vivekananda volition, and Aurobindo-like vision.

Though grounded in The Universal 5 Elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space - repeated in ancient wisdom systems around the globe) we unlock their deeper secrets that elucidate upon the Virtues (or Images of God) that matter was manifest for the purose to reveal; and which simultaneously reveal ones life-path (Dharma). The training does not emphasize any single approach/style in applying this Universal Wisdom. Instead, we cultivate the insight that enables the practitioner to apply a variety of powerful methods towards every unique individual. Nevertheless, teachers are able to focus upon approaches they feel inclined: gentle, vigorous, or somehwere in-between ~ Jnana, Raja, Bhakti or somewhere in-between.

Please Note: This is a 300 hour training that will bring both the beginner* and the advanced* yogi teachings and experiences that they have never encountered before; or at least in this way.  However those entering at the Beginner Level, though learning many of the same things that the Advanced Level students will be learning, will not be seasoned enough to earn the RYT 500 certificate. However, they will be able achieve more than enough to earn the RYT 200 certificate and become excellent -and unique- yoga teachers.

The 500 certificate implies that the student has already earned an RYT 200 certificate either with us or some other yoga training. This 300 hour taining is added to the 200 hours they have already taken making them eligible to register as an RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance. / Though beginners will also be taking 300 hours of training with us, and the certificate will reflect this, still, they can only register as an RYT 200.

Yoga Therapy trainings can give a certificate but a graduate cannot register it with Yoga Alliance as a Therapist, only as a Yoga Teacher [RYT 200 or 500]. This is because anything called "therapy" in many countries must meet certain criteria of gov't agencies. It is not that Yoga Therapy is rejected by Yoga Alliance, but that gov't agencies are often powerless to approve certain "alternative therapies" which ties the hands of Yoga Alliance.
